Enable this feature to increase security for Windows 10

Enable the Enhanced Anti-Spoofing feature in Windows 10

1. Through Registry Editor

Step 1: Right click the button Start in the bottom left corner of the lock screen, select Tremor (or press a combination of keys Windows + R).

Step 3: In Registry Editor Please navigate to:

Then right click Biometrics, choose New -> Key.

Step 4: Name this new Key FacialFeatures.

Step 5: Click select FacialFeatures just created, then switch to the right frame, right-click and select New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Step 6: Name the new DWORD EnhancedAntiSpoofing.


Step 7: Once created, double click and change the value Value Data from “0” to “first”, then press OK.

Step 8: Reboot the system so that Enhanced Anti-Spoofing is enabled. When you want to disable just change the value from “first” Fort “0”.

2. Through Group Policy

Alternatively, if you are using Windows 10 Pro or Windows 10 Enterprise you can enable Enhanced Anti-Spoofing through Group Policy by following these steps:

Step 1: Open the Run dialog box, enter the command “gpedit.msc”, then press OK.

Step 3: Looking in the right pane, double-click on the line Use enhanced anti-spoofing when available.

Step 4: When a new dialog box appears, check the box Enable. Then press Apply -> OK to save your changes.

Step 5: Restart your computer for the changes to take effect, when you need to disable just select Disable is done.

Note: Not all Windows 10 devices support facial recognition.
